Location: 27 km south of Athens: Varkiza is a lovely seaside town in the south of Athens, on the way to Sounion. Its beach is sandy,

Location: 11 km south of Athens:  Close to Athens city centre, this is one of the most popular beaches close to the town.

Anavissos

Location: 52 km south east of Athens: Anavissos is a relaxing beach resort south of Athens, close to Cape Sounion. The region is well developed in tourism.

Glyfada

Location: 16 km south of Athens: The beach of Glyfada is sandy and gets very crowded in summer.  Many cafeterias and clubs line the coast.

Lagonisi

Location: 40 km south east of Athens:  Clean water are the characteristics of Lagonisi, on the way to Sounio.

Porto Rafti

Location: 35 km south east of Athens: This is a beautiful cove that gets very popular in summer. Some ancient remains have been found in the area.

Panathenaic Stadium



The Panathenaic Stadium or Panathinaiko (Greek: Παναθηναϊκό στάδιο, also known as the Kallimarmaro is an athletic stadium in Athens that hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Reconstructed from the remains of an ancient Greek stadium, the Panathenaic is the only major stadium in the world built entirely of white marble.

Theatre of Dionysus



The Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus is a major open-air theatre and one of the earliest preserved in Athens. It was used for festivals in honor of the god Dionysus.

Odeon of Herodes Atticus




The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone theatre structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens. It was built in 161 AD by the Athenian magnate Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife.
